My aunt has been diagnosed with stage 4 aggressive breast cancer just recently. Her legs even broke because it metastisized to her bone. It’s in her organs too, like her liver. The doctors say she only has 6 months to live at the most. Is it possible that she could live longer? Is there anything I can do? I don’t want her to die and I’m really scared for her. :[

i dont know much about cancer…but im sorry =(
I am so sorry to hear the cancer is so far advanced.
I know you don’t want her to die, and I am sorry that isn’t possible.
Sadly, the doctor is right and it is possible the time may even be shorter then that. Once the liver is affected by metastatic cancer it is at the last stages of the disease process.
I will keep you both in my prayers.
I wish her the best of luck and too keep fighting she needs her familys support right now so be there for her be supportive as much as you can
She’ll fight it don’t give up there is always hope.
Hon, I am a hospice nurse and it does not sound good, she may have less that 6 months. Is she in hospice. Hospice is a wonderful thing. I will keep you in my prays and God Bless You. ann BUT NEVER NEVER GIVE UP HOPE…..
You just need to love love love her. Tell her all that you want her to know. Let her know exactly how you feel about her. People that are sick need good support. Just be ther for her. Stay strong. Its hard to loose someone you love so much. Just let her know how much you love her. Take pics so you will have to remember. Good luck.
yes, make the last days happy ones to remember..take her places she would like to go and hold her hand…..
Miracles do happen, but not often that is why they are miracles. I know it is not easy, but dieing is a natural part of life and I know you don’t want her to suffer. The doctor’s should have spoken you to your family about hospice, please consider it. Hospice nurses and volunteers are very special people. They are very supportive to the patient and the family, making the transition a little easier.
Millions of women are affected with breast cancer all around the world. Breast cancer is growing like an epidemic and is predicted that 45,000 patients will die from breast cancer, this year. If you feel a solid lump in your breast, you must visit a specialist for consultation.
I read it all here at
she needs a lot of encouragement and a great will to be alive
most importantly is to never, ever give up without a fight
make sure she eats well as she needs all the strength she can get for this fight
talk to the doctors on what other possible treatments she can get (chemotherapy, radiotherapy, alternative medicine, etc)
ps: you need to stay strong too
